Tipperary Labour Senator, Denis Landy has announced his resignation from Seanad Eireann due to ongoing health issues.
Senator Landy was first elected to Seanad Eireann in 2011 on the Administrative Panel and was re-elected again in 2016 on the Agricultural Panel.
Landy served as a local Town and County Councillor for over 23 years.
He was first co-opted onto Carrick-on-Suir Town Council in 1988 and he served two terms as Mayor.
