Criticism of Tipp broadband roll out

Tipperary County Council insists that no community across the Premier will be left behind when it comes to high speed broadband access.

It comes amid claims that the government has allowed Eir to cherry pick the places it will be able to supply the fibre optic network with 250,000 homes and businesses set to benefit.

Remaining areas which includes large swathes of Tipperary will come under the National Broadband Strategy.

However Mid Tipp councillor John Hogan says it’s not good enough


But Director of Services for Community and Economic Development Sinead Carr insists everybody will be catered for
