Tipperary Gardaí have made over 700 arrests as part of Operation Thor.
The national campaign is aimed at targeting roving criminal gangs that prey on rural communities.
At the final county-wide Joint Policing Committee meeting of 2016, Tipperary's Chief Superintendent Catherine Keogh gave an update on the progress made in tackling crime across the Premier.
Burglaries were down 23% on the same period last year…with 367 incidents reported to the authorities…Tipperary Gardaí have a detection rate of 31% which is above the national average.
Thefts are also down on 2015 figures…while the number of people charged with drug possession for personal use is up with 368 incidents so far this year.
There's been a decrease in the number of people caught drink driving, public order offences and minor assaults…although there's been a slight rise in serious assaults up until the end of November.
As part of Operation Thor, which was rolled out by the Justice Minister earlier this year, Tipperary Gardaí have arrested over 700 people for a range of offences including aggravated burglary, theft, criminal damage and robbery.
