Shatter says AG has to go

The Attorney General’s position is untenable according to a former Minister for Justice.

Alan Shatter says the Fennelly report shows a substantial overreaction by AG Máire Whelan to reports of phone tapping by gardaí.

He also says it vindicates his position and shows it was a mess up by gardaí rather than a conspiracy.
