Man arrested in connection with Cashel crash which claimed three lives

A man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash which occurred near Cashel in August of last year in which three people died.

Thomas O’Reilly with an address at Wallers Lot, Cashel was arrested at around 10’clock this morning.

He was brought before Cashel District Court after being charged with dangerous driving causing the death of Thomas and Bridget O’Reilly and their Grandson Tom on the night of Tuesday the 29th of August last year. He’s been remanded on bail to appear again before Cashel District Court on the 19th of December for the serving of the Book of Evidence on this charge.

He’s also being charged with three other separate offences of drink driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. These will be sent forward for a further appearance before the Circuit Court.
