The Government is today pressing ahead with the controversial appointment of the former Attorney General to the Court of Appeal.
Máire Whelan’s appointment will be finalised by the President at a ceremony this morning at Áras an Uachtaráin.
It comes despite ongoing political upheaval over her nomination.
