Gardai have launched an investigation into an alleged assault on a woman in West Tipperary.
This incident happened in the townland of Shronell near Lattin at around 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon.

While investigations are at an early stage its understood the young female victim – who works in Tipperary Town was walking in the area when she got a lift from a passing motorist and was subsequently assaulted.
Tipp FM understands she subsequently received hospital treatment.
Gardai have confirmed to Tipp FM that they are investigating an alleged assault on a female in the Shronell area – No arrests have been made at this stage but inquiries into the incident are on going.
