A man is due to appear at Cashel District Court this morning.
He is being charged in connection with the incident at a Pharmacy in Ladyswell Street in Cashel on Tuesday morning last.
Four staff members of O'Dwyer's Pharmacy were held hostage by the man who was eventually subdued by Gardai using a taser gun.
