County Council press ahead with rent increases

Tipperary County Council are pressing ahead with their plans to roll out a new rent scheme.

The scheme was due to take effect on July 2nd, but due to some delays in tenants receiving forms the plans were stalled until today.

The local authority have said that just 3% of tenants would have seen an increase of 30 euro or more per week.

The minimum rent is 20 euro per week across the board, with 140 euro the maximum – all of which is income based.
