A full recount is due to get underway in the Longford/Westmeath constituency this morning – following a request by outgoing Fine Gael TD – James Bannon.
In Dublin South Central, where the final seat remains in contention, a recount resumes this afternoon.
Fianna Fail's Catherine Ardagh is hoping to overhaul a 35-vote lead held by Bríd Smith of the Triple-A/People Before Profit.
The recount in the Dublin Bay North constituency also resumes this morning.
Fianna Fail's Sean Haughey was re-elected, after losing his seat in the last election. Independent Senator Averil Power was eliminated late last night at the RDS.
Senator Averil Power says she's still happy she fought for a recount.
Meanwhile, the cabinet is due to met this afternoon to discuss possible options for the next government.
Returning coalition minister's and those who failed to get re-elected will meet in a caretaker capacity.
