Councillors brainstorming tourism options in North Tipp

Councillors on both sides of the North Tipperary border have been brainstorming on boosting the tourism product on offer in the area.

It follows a joint meeting between the local authorities of Nenagh and Killaloe in the historic twin town of Ballina-Killaloe.

Town and Village renewal Grants are available for upgrade works and both councils feel a joint application would be very strong.

Local councillor in the area Tony O’Brien feels something simple like lighting up the archways on the historic bridge in the twin towns would be a nice touch
