Dance in health care settings has been proven to particularly benefit older people or those with a chronic, degenerative conditions, such as Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s disease, and it’s hoped the scheme will work with the overall intention of providing a model that can be used nationally.

Both Kildare and Kerry County Councils have also benefited from funding under the scheme.
