Cork man found following extensive search

The man in his 60s was reported missing overnight from Sprat Hill near Bantry.

A search operation was launched by the Shannon based Coast Guard Helicopter and local Coast Guard units with assistance from Gardai at Bantry.

The missing man was located in the Sprat Hill area shortly before 9 o'clock this morning by the Coast Guard helicopter.

He was then airlifted to an ambulance and is being treated at Bantry General Hosptial.
