Continued overcrowding at hospitals across the country

There are almost 80 people on trolleys in hospitals serving Tipperary this afternoon.

44 of those are waiting for a bed at University Hospital Limerick, with 35 in South Tipp General.

Cork University Hospital is the most overcrowded, with 45 people on trolleys in the emergency department and in overflow areas of wards.

There are 529 people on trolleys in hospitals around the country.
