Continued hospital overcrowding issues

Over 60 people are without a bed today at the main hospitals serving Tipperary.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation 36 of these are at University Hospital Limerick which provides Emergency Department cover for North Tipp, Limerick and Clare.

South Tipp General in Clonmel has 26 people on trolleys around the ED or in overflow areas of wards.

In all there are 412 patients waiting for a bed across the country with University Hospital Galway the most overcrowded at 48.
