Concerns raised about closure of Cashel civic offices.

A member of Cashel Town Council wants to know what the future holds for the 40 local authority staff based there.

Independent representative Eddie Bennett has also sought clarification on all other implications from the closure of Cashel Town Council, it's Civic Offices and Motor Tax Office.

He claims the moving of local authority services from Cashel when the amalgamation of North and South Tipp County Council goes ahead next year will have a negative impact on the local economy.

Councillor Bennett is calling on the Manager to address these serious issues while in the interim no closures should be permitted until concrete measures are put in place.
