A former Fine Gael leader says there are dangers in the decision Lucinda Creighton is taking in establishing a new political party.

Speaking to Kfm, Alan Dukes says the tact Deputy Creighton is taking “has a lot of dangers” and said a Dáil with up to three “loose alliances” will be unpredictable.

Deputy Creighton says everyone in Ireland will be able to vote for a candidate from her new party at the next election.

The party has yet to be named, and will be officially launched in 8 weeks.

Meanwhile, speculation mounts about whether Ind. TD, Shane Ross, will form his own political party.
