The 48-hour strike came into effect at midnight – affecting up to 90-thousand commuters.
Workers will also down tools on March 8th and on St. Patrick's Day.

Staff want wage hikes of up to 54 per-cent over two years – which Luas operator Transdev says it can't afford.
Owen Reidy from SIPTU – which represents workers – says they never wanted it to come to this.
Meanwhile, Gerry Madden from Transdev says he doesn't think there is any justification for these pay claims.
