Community Hall committee back planning application in Tipperary village.

A rather unusual change of use has been granted by planners at South Tipperary County Council.

Dermot Ronan applied for a change of use from a grocery shop and store to a funeral home in the village of Ballingarry.

His proposals for the premises on Main Street had the backing of the local Community Hall committee who have given the use of their 35 space car park when required.

In a letter of support to the planning authority the chairperson said any new business in a small village such as theirs was welcome.
