The provision of an additional €155,000 to Tipperary’s County Enterprise Boards this morning will assist in creating or sustaining 15 jobs according to Deputy Noel Coonan.
€95,000 was allocated to North Tipperary CEB and €60,000 to South Tipperary CEB.
It's part of an additional €3.78 million allocated to City and County Enterprise Boards across the country.
Deputy Coonan points out that a huge proportion of jobs in County Tipperary are held in small, local enterprises, the importance of which has been recognised by the Government.
The funding is in addition to the €15 million in capital funding already provided to Community Enterprise Boards in 2012.
