The big freeze is over for most, with temperatures expected to rise over the coming days.
All weather warnings have now been lifted – although there is a chance of some flooding in areas with a lot of snow.
Any overnight mist or foggy patches are expected to lift later this morning.
Uisce Éireann has restored water to households and businesses across Tipperary.
At one point 18,000 customers had their supply disrupted in the Premier County
However operations lead with the utility Colin Cunningham says they are still on standby to cope with any issues that may arise as the thaw continues.
“What we will be concerned about next week is when the thaw comes we could potentially get a lot of bursts. So when it thaws out and the ground temperature start rising pipes can move a bit in the ground and we could get bursts. But we have plenty of crews available and additional crews on standby at the weekend along with contractors if needed to get repairs done as quickly as possible.”
