Once again we are teaming up with St. Vincent de Paul in seeking donations of new toys which will be added to Christmas hampers to be distributed throughout County Tipperary.
The Toy Appeal has proven to be very successful over the years with the people of the Premier County always extremely generous.
Kieran Stafford is Area President for St Vincent de Paul.
He says the Toy Appeal makes a huge difference for families in Tipp.
“It is so important for us as members to be able to supply effectively stocking fillers for many families who may have put all their resources into ensuring that Santa is looked after. The board games, the jigsaws, the books, the soft toys for the toddlers – they’re so important and they really make up Christmas. This is a real pressure time for so many people. If you’re on low income or fixed income it’s a really, really challenging time – you’re trying to make Christmas as best you can for everybody.”
The closing date for toy donations is Monday December 16th.
