A fundraising walk for family carers will take place in Clonmel this weekend.
It’s part of a nationwide event in support of over 500,000 carers to create awareness and supply vital funds.
The 5 kilometre walk will be held this Sunday at Powerstown Park in Clonmel starting at 11’o clock
It’s one of 9 “Step Up for the Family Carer” events taking place at locations around the country.
Local Family Carers Ireland manager Richie Molloy is hoping for a good turnout on Sunday morning.
“I’m looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the day and while we don’t expect to see Family Carers themselves coming on this walk I would appeal to extended family members and indeed friends of family carers to come along to support us.
“Registration is €25 with everyone that registers receiving a free t-shirt. You can either register online at familycarersireland.com or indeed you’re very welcome to register on the day in Powerstown Racecourse.
“Remember the gate that we’ll be using is just opposite Star Fuels.”
