The victim of last Friday night’s fatal road traffic collision on the N76 Clonmel – Kilkenny road has been named locally as Kieran McArdle.
It’s understood he was on a ride-on lawnmower at Kilcash Cross when he was struck by a car at around 9.50pm.
Locals says he had borrowed the mower to cut the grass at a communal area around two kilometres from his home in Ballypatrick.
The driver of the car – who is in his 20s – is believed to be from the area.
Gardaí in Clonmel continue to appeal for information in relation to the crash.
They are particularly looking to speak with two motorists who may have passed moments before this incident occurred.
These two vehicles were travelling on the N76 in the direction of Kilkenny and coming from Clonmel.
