It’s been a busy weekend for Uisce Éireann crews as they had to deal with a number of issues on the Galtee Regional Water Supply.
3,000 homes, farms and businesses were impacted – firstly by problems at a pump station and a separate major burst on a trunk main on the network.
Repairs were completed on Friday evening only for another burst pipe on Saturday night.
While supply has returned to the majority of customers, those on the outskirts of the network and those on higher ground may experience low pressure as water begins to return.
Alternative water supplies will remain in place in Emly, Limerick Junction, and Cullen until Tuesday morning.
