The Faugheen 50 Supporters Club are holding a fundraising event as the popular motorcycle road race is set to make a welcome return in July.
The sport had been side-lined across the country for a number of years due to issues with insurance.
This has now been resolved with Paul Power of the Supporters Club saying they are now getting their ducks in a row.
“We’re getting all our bits and pieces in place – we’ve spoken to all the residents. There is a lot of work needed – and if anybody wants to come on board as volunteers, join the club and come along to the club meetings. And if anyone to sponsor races we won’t be saying no – we’d only be too delighted if they come in.”
The car and bike run will start from the Tinvane Retail Park on the Pill Road at 2.30 with registration from 1pm.
The route will take in Carrick-on-Suir, Rathgormack and Lemybrien before returning to Carrick and finishing in Faugheen.
