A GAA stalwart has been named Tipperary’s 2024 recipient of the Volunteers in Sport Awards.

Paddy Fitzgerald will be honoured on 28th February, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Blanchardstown.

He has coached at all levels with Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams GAA Club.

This year’s awards saw a record number of nominations from over 53 sporting disciplines.

460,000 volunteers dedicate their time to help 1.47 million club members around the country, making a contribution valued at €1.5 billion annually.
