Improved funding for local clubs under Sports Capital Grant Programme.

Seven Tipperary clubs have been successful in their appeals to the Sports Capital Grant Programme.

Deputy Michael Lowry says BT Harps in Templemore have been approved for €357,000 which is an increase on the previous award.

Over €143,000 is going to Cappawhite GAA Club, €162,000 for Nenagh Éire Óg while Drom & Inch GAA Club is to get €146,000.

Ballinderry Sports Field in conjunction with Shannon Rovers GAA Club have been allocated €146,000.

The Muintir na Tire Hall in Ballycommon has been granted €134,000 on appeal while Moycarkey Coolcroo Athletic Club is getting €59,000.

Michael Lowry has congratulated the clubs and praised their dedication and hard work.
