ESB crews are continuing to work throughout the week with the assistance of French crews in order to help restore power to the country.

Local Councillor Eddie Moran explains the outages and repairs process.

“They’re working on it at the moment anyway and we’ll hopefully have a bit of news, hopefully we’ll have lights by the weekend. The ESB are working hard at it and they’re doing their best.

“They’re low in staff – they have more staff in from other countries – French people came in there to help out. So they have a crew on the ground to try and get around to them and hopefully we’ll have lights at the weekend.”
