Local people, teams, clubs, schools and groups have been honoured at a Civic Reception for the Thurles Municipal District.
The annual awards ceremony took place at the Templemore Arms last night.

Among those being honoured were the Thurles CBS Harty Cup winning team, the Holycross Abbey Jubilee Committee, and Billy Hayes from Roscrea.
Cathaoirleach of the District Michael Smith says the idea is to celebrate the best things that are happening in the area.
