Communities in shock following fatal crash in Tipperary

Local communities in Dungarvan, County Waterford and Monkstown in Cork are still coming to terms with the loss of two young lives in a fatal crash in Tipperary.

28 year old Mary Enright was due to give birth in six weeks time – she was the driver of one of the cars involved in a head-on collision on the N24 near Bansha on Monday night last.

The driver and sole occupant of the other car, 17 year old Robert Stoker from Monkstown, also lost his life in the horrific crash.

Mary Enright's husband Pat and family friend Jack Lacey were seriously injured while another passenger escaped serious injury.

Gardai are still carrying out investigations into the cause of the crash which happened at 10.40pm on Monday night less than a mile on the Cahir side of Bansha.
