5 closure orders were served on food businesses by the Environmental Health officers last month.
Among them was the Curry Hut & Indian Kebab House restaurant at 6 Lower Cork Street, Mitchelstown in County Cork.

1 prohibition order was also served on a food business in Co Louth by veterinary inspectors.
The Food Safety Authority says there is no excuse for negligent food practices – it says all business must have a food safety management system in place.
