Andrew Freaney, aged 24 of 22 Elm Park, Clonmel denies assaulting Garda Helena Power on Halloween night 2008.

The Court heard allegations earlier this week that Andrew Freaney kicked Garda Power in the face after she tried to arrest his 14 year old brother at a bonfire in Bianconi Drive.

The Garda suffered fractures to her eye socket and was temporarily blinded.

While she had to have surgery to correct a double vision problem, this has now improved greatly.

No evidence was heard yesterday and the jury was told to return on June 26th.
