The Clonmel Junction Arts Festival is to honour a Tipperary celebrity.
The Vincent Hanley Summer School will explore the broadcasters legacy and cultural impact, following his aids-related death in 1987
Bands Zrazy, Garage Inc and The Waheys will also be there to celebrate 1980s music culture,
The Summer school events take place from the 4th to 6th of July in Clonmel, with more festivities continuing until the 13th,
Tonie Walsh, one of the events consultants and hosts outlines the planned events
“It’s going to be really exciting because it’s a mixture of immersive conversations.
“There will be some very evocative panel conversations and music but it’s really all about bringing the life and times and spirit of Vincent Hanley to a wider audience.
“I suppose just by talking about him he will live amongst us again.”
