Clonmel to Host International Climate Meeting

Tipperary will play host to a major European meeting on climate change next month.

Environmental leaders from across the E.U. will travel to Clonmel on September 12th for one of the largest ever gatherings from the sector to take place on Irish soil.

Ireland was recently labelled the second worst in Europe in relation to progressing towards renewable energy and meeting our climate change goals.

Large fines are enforced in the event of non-compliance.

The Tipperary Energy Agency will host the event, speaking on Tipp Today, their CEO, Paul Kenny, spoke of the challenges we face in meeting our targets.
