Claims mobile phone signals in Tipperary are deteriorating

Concerns have been expressed that phone coverage in the Premier County has been deteriorating in recent weeks.

The problem is not said to be confined to any one network provider.

While there have always been some signal blackspots in Tipperary,  Thurles based councillor Jackie Cahill says the issue is getting worse of late.

He is calling on mobile phone operators to address the issue as a matter of urgency

The Fianna Fail representative points out that the infrastructure on the ground in Tipp hasn't changed with the same number of transmitter masts as there were 18 months ago.
