Claims least experienced pilot in control on ill-fated Air France Disaster

Aisling Butler from Roscrea along with Jane Deacy and Eithne, Walls who had all studied medicine at Trinity, were on an overseas break when the disaster took place.

An investigation article in this month's Vanity Fair carried by the Examiner says the two most senior pilots were asleep at the time of the crash.

It’s claimed the captain spent the night before the flight with his girlfriend in Rio and only had an hour's sleep

The article strongly suggests that had he or his co-pilot been in control when the plane stalled the accident could have been avoided.
