Cistercian College still one of the leading schools in the Country

The Cistercian College in Roscrea is on the leading schools in the country according to the latest league table.

Holy Child School in Killiney, Co Dublin has come top of the table for the proportion of students who went to college this year.

The Cistercian College comes second, followed by Sandford Park in Ranelagh in Dublin.

Ten of the top twenty schools are fee paying, with an increase in the number of state-funded schools reporting 100 percent progression to third level

Director of Admissions at the Cistercian College Seamus Hennesy says it is great news for the school which was almost faced with closure earlier this year.
