Churn rolling championships in Tipp town this weekend

The 53rd annual All-Ireland churn rolling championships take place in Tipperary town this weekend.

The heats take place this evening from 7.30pm, with the finals taking place tomorrow evening.

It’s part of the ‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary Festival,’ which also features street entertainment and a craft market.

The competition has been running since 1964, and Michael Fuller of Tipperary churn rolling says it’s great to see the younger generation getting involved…

Tipp FM’s Trudi Lawlor will also be broadcasting live from Tipp Town this evening from 7 to 9 bringing all the festival highlights.
