Sgt Carol O’Leary is also reminding people not to leave anything visible in the car

“If you’re starting to gather stuff, just make sure that whatever items you have, you
don’t leave them exposed.”

“You don’t leave them in the back of the car for someone to take a chance and rob them.”

“There have been cases where cars have been left unlocked still, so we’ll appeal to you.
Please lock your cars, even if you’re stepping away from it for five minutes.
To run into the shop, to run into those, just take the second to lock it.”
