Child and motorist hospitalised following Clonmel crash

It's understood the child was hit by a car in the Glenoaks Close area of the town at around 4.50pm.

Both were removed by ambulance to South Tipperary General Hospital following the collision.

The child reportedly suffered a broken leg and internal injuries.

The driver of the car – which ended up on its roof – suffered minor injuries.
