CCTV system for Nenagh to be rolled out in the New Year

Superintendent Bob Noonan confirmed the news to local councillors at this week's meeting of Nenagh Municipal District.

15 cameras are set to be installed around the town centre as part of efforts to boost policing and security and deter anti social and other criminal behaviour.

Speaking to Tipp Fm Superintendent Noonan says its benefits will be wide ranging for the entire community as a number of earlier stumbling blocks have been overcome.

He says the CCTV system will be a big assistance to the community in relation to crime prevention.
