With the amalgamation of Tipperary's two county councils one county wide JPC is in the process being established.
However, while acknowledging the need for a main Policing Committee, the Cathaoirleach of the Carrick on Suir Municipal District Eddie O'Meara thinks smaller local JPC's would have major benefits.
