It follows concerns raised over the amount of surface water that remains on the route during periods of heavy rain…and the danger of vehicles aqua-planing.
There have been several accidents along that stretch of the route in recent months.

Independent Nenagh Councillor Hughie McGrath says the issue has been raised with him by professional drivers who are concerned.
