Calls for pubs to open on Good Friday

The Licensed Vintners Association and the Vintners Federation of Ireland claim the current law is out of date – and full of loopholes.

Publicans say the closure will have a particular impact in Dublin this year – which is expecting an influx of visitors for the 1916 centenary celebrations and the Republic of Ireland's international against Switzerland at the Aviva Stadium.
