People in Tipperary Town feel “traffic light” style pedestrian crossings are badly needed to improve road safety in the area.

There are currently 6 zebra crossings on the N24 in the West Tipp town which is regularly chocked by heavy traffic including large HGVs because its on the main route between Limerick and Waterford.

Over the years several people have lost their lives in road collisions while there have been numerous accidents involving pedestrians.

As part of Tipp Today’s new Road Safety Initiative, Tipp FM took to the streets of Tipp Town to find out what the main issues were for locals
