The Magdalene Survivors Together group is calling for the resignation of the Health Minister over plans to build the new National Maternity Hospital on the St Vincent’s Hospital Campus.

The group says the proposed ‘gifting’ of the new hospital to the Sisters of Charity has come as a shock and major disappointment to women who passed through the religious order’s institutions in the past.

The group’s chairman, Stephen O’Riordan, claims Minister Harris is out of tune with today’s Ireland.
