Calls for columbariums to house ashes in Tipp

Tipperary County Council is being asked to provide areas for people to inter the ashes of their loved ones at cemetery’s across the county.

Notices of motion were tabled at this months meeting of the Clonmel Borough District and Carrick on Suir Municipal District.

Fianna Fail’s Siobhan Ambrose is calling for a columbarium in St Patrick’s Cemetery in Clonmel which would house cremated remains.

Meanwhile, Sinn Fein’s David Dunne is asking for a memorial wall at St Mary’s cemetery in Carrick on Suir:
