A Tipperary Deputy has called on the Government to clarify who exactly will be affected by changes to the medical card scheme.
The recently published HSE Action Plan has alluded to changes within the system, which could result in a reduction of 40 thousand medical cards.
North Tipp Deputy Michael Lowry has called on the Government to immediately outline who exactly will be affected by the cut.
It has been reported that 20 thousand cards will be cut from those over 70 on a higher income, with the other 20 thousand coming from younger applicants under policy changes.
