A Carrick on Suir Councillor is calling for the implementation of a new County-wide text alert system.

Komeer is a communications app that delivers cost efficient messaging for community groups.

The app can connect all community groups with Gardai and local authorities to deliver a free text alert system.

Fine Gael Cllr Mark Fitzgerald explains that the current community text alerts are not as sustainable as the Komeer system.
